With news from California that restrictions on theme park operation are being relaxed, it seems like we could be just around the corner from seeing Disneyland reopen for the first time in nearly a year:

As Andrea from The Points Guy reports, any reopening will look very different:
- No out-of-state attendees
- 15% capacity
- Indoor attractions will have capacity restrictions
This is all on top of the fact that the county Disneyland is contained in still needs to improve their COVID-19 numbers a bit more.
Wrapping Up The Magic
There are still plenty of questions. Disneyland just got finished announcing a new food-focused event, Touch of Disney. Now, the potential for a more regular operating theme park seems right around the corner. I wonder how Disneyland will enforce the out-of-state attendance restriction. It may be through a system similar to the Disney World park reservation system, which are due to be extended through at least the beginning of 2023. Still, that seems like an easy system to manipulate.
Disneyland appears to be poised for a reopening celebration in the near future. That’s great news for Disney fans, Cast Members of Disneyland and the local business community around the park. We’ll wait patiently (kind of!) for a bit longer to find out the details!
