Whether or not you’re on TikTok, if you’re a Disney fan, chances are that you’ve heard about Ratatouille the Musical. A worldwide phenomenon that took the internet by storm started with just one woman who was SO excited for the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot that she wrote a song. Quickly many other theatre lovers, professionals and Disney fans wrote additional songs, a script, designed staging & lighting, marketing, playbills and even concessions items!

Emily Jacobsen, the woman who started it all was invited by Disney for a SNEAK PEEK of the new ride, which should be opening in early 2021 after a delay from the original Summer 2020 date. Check it out here:

Ratatouille the TikTok Musical – It’s Happening!
And less than a day after this video was published, it was announced that Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical is coming to life! Virtually, that is. On January 1st, an all star cast will team up for a one-time only performance, benefitting the Actors Fund. Adam Lambert, Wayne Brady, Kevin Chamberlin, Mary Testa, and Priscilla Lopez will play key roles, with Tituss Burgess starring as Remy, the sophisticated rat who loves fine food.
“The Rat’s Way of Life” and “Ratatouille Tango” created by TikToker Blake Rouse will be featured in the musical, and the Playbill program created by TikToker Jess Siswick is the musical’s promotional artwork.
While it’s a fundraiser, the organizers behind this event have confirmed that all creators that were involved are being compensated and credited. Disney is not formally involved, but has given this their blessing, along with Patton Oswalt, the original voice of Remy.
The show will stream via TodayTix on January 1st at 7PM ET, with ticket prices ranging from $5 to $50. Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical will be available on demand for 72 hours after.
