Disney World has a dizzying number of different prices for tickets to access the parks. You’ve got everything from a simple 1-day ticket to annual passes. Disney World now has variable pricing based on the date you’re going as well. Add in options like Park Hopper, and it’s easy to get lost in the details.
I’m in the process of putting together an “emergency Disney trip”. While doing so, I came across an interesting ticket option for folks planning a multi-day trip to Disney World. I’m not sure if it’s new. It’s currently advertised as only being on sale through March 5th, but you can use them through May 26, 2017. They’re called “4-Park Magic Tickets”, and they’re pretty deeply discounted:
To give you an idea of the savings, a 4-day park ticket without the Park Hopper option will set you back $350.
The price on the 4-Park ticket is $279, a 20% discount:
The Final Two Pennies
20% might not sound like a lot. But, unless you’re willing to get very creative (and lucky), you’re unlikely to get discounts like this very often. The only one I can recall recently was the AMEX/Sam’s Club one. Now, the restriction is that you can only visit each park once with this package, whereas a 4-day standard ticket would allow you to spend multiple days in a park of your choosing.

Disney Ticketing can be complicated. I know the last time I went there it was around $100 a day for a multi-park pass. Today there are so many options its hard to pick the right one that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. With your tip, we can only pay an arm…. Do you get the magic band with the deal you highlight above?
John, you used to be able to get free MagicBands at your resort. Nowadays that’s less common, though I still hear of folks getting the basic gray band. The bands themselves aren’t that expensive ($15-$20 from Disney, sometimes as low as $5 on eBay) and reusable.
I guess it makes sense that they would charge extra for them. Seeing how expensive a Disney vacation is what’s another $15….
