Disney World has announced a new set of discounts for stays at hotels in all categories (even the campgrounds) for this summer. The dates for the new discounts pick up right where the current offers expire. These discounts start July 11, 2021 and run through September 29, 2021. The headline number of 25% matches the spring discount, which is 10% lower than the early 2021 discounts offered. In reality, the summer discounts are lower overall, since a bunch of resorts are now at a 10% discount tier. Here’s a full look at all the discounts:
There hasn’t been any announcement about annual passholder discounts, which ran in parallel with the spring discounts. True to form the discounts do appear to be working for some random July dates:
I’m still trying to come to the grips with the fact that Caribbean Beach is over $300 per night in July before taxes. That’s a whole lot of wow. Disney demand is definitely coming back.
Wrapping Up The Magic
I honestly don’t recall hotel rates at Disney World from 2019. However, the rates this summer seem plenty high. The 25% discount at some Deluxe resorts takes a bit of the sting away. Still, these rates are pretty high. With the retirement of Extra Magic Hours (and since Early Theme Park Entry hasn’t launched yet) there are a smaller list of benefits for on-site guests. FastPass+ is another big, big benefit taking a sabbatical. Even with these discounts, this may be one of those times where you’re better served staying off-site. It might be a good time to burn those hotel points you earned from all that pandemic shopping…..
