OMG! The Greatest Disney Challenge Ever

Anyone who thinks I’m not going to try to do this just doesn’t know me very well.

Have you heard of the Parkeology Challenge?  Of course you haven’t.  That’s because you’re normal.  This takes the insanity of Disney World to a new level.

There are a group of Disney World fanatics who challenge themselves to ride every ride at Disney World’s 4 parks.

In one day.

Because this is what crazy people like me do:

For an elite group of Disney superfans, doing it all in one day requires months of planning. Challengers dart from the Mad Tea Party to Space Mountain while braving the Florida heat, swarms of tourists and the occasional broken toe. Runners map out detailed routes in hopes of joining the few dozen who have ever completed the grueling race. To endure the 20-plus-mile day, some train by hitting the treadmill, Rollerblading or running in quarter-mile sprints to imitate racing between rides.

Okay, I’m pretty sure I won’t be doing wind sprints to train for this.  I may eat a few extra donuts so I have extra glycogen to burn.
I’ve literally already started planning my attempt at this.  It sounds brutal.  And awesome.  Here’s the best part.  You know what you get for a prize if you accomplish this feat?  Nothing.
There is no grand prize, only celebrity status among other admiring fans.
I really am crazy.  And, I’m still going to give it a shot.
The Final Two Pennies

I have an annual pass.  And frequent flier miles to get me to Florida.  I have DVC points and/or SPG points for the hotel stay.  New sneakers.  Sunscreen.  Water bottle.  And, not a single shred of sanity.  I think I’m good to go.

I’m sitting here trying to decide if this is more insane than the guy who visited all 5 Disney parks in 75 hours.  I totally want to weave a charitable component into this.

What do you think?

So the true ultimate challenge: All the rides at all the Disneys in 5 days?

Charity event for sure! Tell me how many rides there are in the park. I will pledge a dollar amt for each ride you ride. Hit all of them get an extra kicker. Charity of your choice. I am sure you’ll pick a good one.

I live here in Orlando and I don’t know how this would even be possible despite how fat you are! Waiting in lines for rides would eat most of your day up.

Don’t do it Ed! You can resist. Unless you drag the whole family along. Then they can remind you of the -fun- for the next 30 years.

I’m with Pam. I live in Florida and had annual passes for years. I don’t see how this is possible. Probably like the one article that said they did all the rides but only did 3 or 4 per park.

I’m planning the more abbreviated Disney 4 Park Challenge: 3 rides, a snack and a character photo at each.

That’s unbelievably awesome-is.
