Four Seasons Orlando Adds Disney World Benefits

Disney World offers an expanding array of hotel options onsite for all budgets. Folks looking for the most luxurious experience end up at Four Seasons Orlando. While it’s one of the closest hotels to the Magic Kingdom, you won’t get all of the Disney goodies when you stay there.

Benefits like access to the popular FastPass system and Extra Magic Hours have been conspicuously absent from those people paying the highest room rates at Disney World. It’s seemed odd to me, especially with the addition of a handful of lesser hotels to the FastPass system recently. It looks like that’s changing, though not as much as I’d like to see.

Mike L draws my attention to an article about the extension of the Extra Magic Hours benefit to Four Seasons Orlando guests.

For Disney novices, Extra Magic Hours are exactly what they sound like. Disney will generally open one park a bit early or keep it open late for guests of onsite hotels. For early birds, this can be a great start to the day.

The Final Two Pennies

This is a nice plus for Four Seasons guests, especially considering what it costs to spend the night there.  The big plus would be if they added 60-day access to the FastPass system.  The most likely reason that hasn’t happened has to do with the reservation system the Four Seasons is using.  Disney is already deeply involved in the property so I can’t think of another reason makes sense.

Extra Magic Hours can actually be a blessing and a curse at the same time.  The parks that feature Extra Magic Hours tend to be busier.  Customers flock to the park where they can get the most bang for the buck, even if the lines are longer.  Smart Disney World guests will spend the day elsewhere.  We’ve found the lines much shorter late at night when we’ve taken advantage of Extra Magic Hours.
